The 'Occupy Wall Street' crowd has issued a list of demands and they are absolutely hysterical. It includes banning every capitalists development since the reichstag fire.
They basically insist that in return for getting their smelly asses out of a park that no one uses except as a shortcut for their commute, that the united states declare itself an illegal imperialist establishment, and that it turn itself over to a communo-collective (run by them) immediately. Had they kept their mouths shut we would have only suspected how crazy and stupid they all are. Now we know.
I'm including this video as an assist. What you do is read the 'demands' below and then advance the video to the next spit-take. At least this way you can get a laugh out of the whole thing. the demands are below. I strongly recommend you put your own coffee down before reading them.
The Demands:
Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending “Freetrade” by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Demand four: Free college education.
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

My favorite is #11 for a number of reasons:
1. Most of these protesters look 20-something, which means that its likely that their parents are heading towards retirement in the not too distant future. Wiping out debt would wipe out the bonds, notes, and other interest bearing instruments that would have help fund mommy and daddy's 'golden years' Whoopsie!
2. The Federal Reserve Note.. our currency, is backed by debt. Which is why its called a 'note'. Essentially, #11 would put us back on the barter system as every dollar would be nothing more than paper with weird pictures on the back and a picture of a dead guy on the front.
3. Its going to be real fun for this 2 something when he needs a loan to buy a car, start a business, etc. I remember when I was about 25, my current car was near death. Without credit, I would have been out of a job because being out of college for a little over a year and making a crap salary, I didn't have a a whole lot in savings. No car would have meant no job.
Reading that screed seems to me how a nine year old might see the world. The nine year old has an excuse though.. he's nine! The first week of this protest was funny.. Now its nothing more than a pathetic display of a bunch of man-childs throwing a collective temper tantrum. Its annoying and needs to end.
They have a new demand (saw it on a sign as I was getting lunch).
A four day work week!
So basically they are demanding a good income without actually having to work for it.
Could this mind disease be in part due to the fact that kids no longer have after school or summer jobs nowdays?
I think things like that might help, but the real 'principle component' in my mind has to be their endless insecurity. None of them have ever accomplished anything. Many have never been tested in any way, and they'd like to keep it that way.
In their minds the only 'fair' system is one where we are no longer forced to worry about whether someone has actually accomplished anything or not, and all perks and benefits are awarded based on how well they can rhyme things with 'hey hey, ho ho", or something equally useless.
They're complete losers, so they want 'being a loser' to no longer stand in the way of advancement. It's the same sort of mentality that will eventually lead to a demand that 'pot smoking' be made into an Olympic event.
The real mystery is how the media can possibly believe that they can lionize this pack of human refuse and not lose credibility for it. you might not think much of journalists - I certainly don't. But even the worst hack slandering NYtimes reporter has produced more actual 'product' than all these hippies put together.
The Great Unwashed are planning to come to Jersey tomorrow to protest in front of the Goldman Sachs building in downtown Jersey City.
I don't think the JC police are equipped like the NYPD to deal with mass protesters. This might get a bit ugly.
Of course, my property taxes will go up to pay for all the police overtime.
